About this Website

how supported talking can help late talkers

This website has been created to empower parents, families and carers of children aged between 0-5 years to support speech, language and communication development. Children are unique and not all will learn to talk as quickly as their friends. We know that parents want the best for their children so it can be worrying to see your child experiencing difficulty talking.

“77% of parents who are worried about their child’s speech and language development struggle to find the information they need” Bercow: Ten Years On (2018).

We understand the challenges and frustration some parents face finding trusted speech and language advice. Supporting Talking is an affordable and innovative solution providing information about early language development and practical ways of helping children at home. Supporting Talking boasts a range of learning opportunities, activities and resources for our members as well as guidance and information to help you decide if more specialist support is needed for your child.
